Room 5 Library Trip

Room 5's Library Trip 
On Tuesday 26 March 2013 Room 5 went on a school trip to the Johnsonville Public Library. We discovered lots of stuff. We looked at old newspapers and photos about Johnsonville to do with our inquiry. Room 5 had a fantastic time. We looked at some fantastic books too. It was a lovely sunny day walking to and from the library. We hope you like the photos and comment on our blog thanks.

This week is a short week because Friday is the start of Easter with Good Friday.

We are off to the Public Library tomorrow, which is very exciting!

We had a visit from a Kiwi!

Seaweek

On Monday we dressed up to support and promote Seaweek. 

Seaweek is important because it is about protecting the sea and all of the animals that live in the sea. There is more info at http://www.seaweek.org.nz/. The theme this year is "healthy seas, healthy people".

We made a display for our corridor area between Room 5 and Room 6. We worked together with Room 6 and made seaweed, sea creatures, bubbles, rocks, coral, a diver and a boat. We think it looks awesome!!! Come and check it out! :)
